iPhone app organization comes to iTunes 9

The single best features in the brand-new iTunes 9 (released yesterday) is iPhone Home screen organization. I’ve been asking for this feature almost since the App Store was announced and it’s a great addition to Apple’s venerable media playing software.
It works like this: connect your iPhone or iPod touch to your computer via USB, then select your device in the left pane then the new “Applications” tab (pictured) in the right pane. From here you can simply drag apps around from virtual screen to screen. You can even add and delete screens as needed — brilliant!
Another nice feature introduced in iTunes 9 and iPhone OS 3.1 is App categories (pictured above left). This allows you to view and organize apps according to a category. This is also useful for organizing your iPhone pages by category, (productivity, music, games, etc.). When you are finished iTunes automatically syncs your new screens with your iPhone or iPod touch.
There’s still no solution for OTA media or app syncing, so you’re still relegated to using USB, but hopefully more OTA syncing will come in the future.
